And they provide loving end-of-life care. All at no cost to families—thanks to the generous donors who make this specialized care possible.

Cure SMA Canada was formed in 2011 but it's roots go back much further. Its mission includes direct family support in addition to funding Canadian research projects. Cure SMA Canada represents families and individuals across Canada. They have funded over $3 million in Canadian SMA research and over half a million in family support. Each year they support Canadians through our newly diagnosed care packages, informational care booklets, equipment pool, SMA camp support, hospital support, end of life support, patient advocacy and many other direct family support services. Emmett has SMA, Type 1 and his family has been involved with CureSMA Canada since he was 5 months old.
Mission Raceway Park is our Host and Partner in making this happen. The team here has been 100% on board in ensuring that this event is a success. Thank you for the bouncy castles, the BBQ equipment, the paramedics/safety crew, the track and grounds. Most of all, thank you for the enthusiasm that your staff has brought to our event. Emmett's first visit here was when he was about 4 months old - and we've lost track of how many visits he has had since then.
Klassen Landscape Supply has been there for Emmett - the gravel for the path leading to his backyard was supplied by Klassen Abbotsford. During his 6th birthday, which occurred during the pandemic, his family party included a tour of the Klassen equipment and grounds. This is Emmett's Landscape supply, make it yours!
Emmett loves camping and he loves RV's. He has been through multiple RV's at Cottonwood. Seen the work that they do. And enjoyed the work that they've done on his grandpa's RV. If you need your RV serviced, then Emmett recommends you head to Cottonwood RV Sales and Service!
Velocity Autosports has been essential in providing advice and suggestions for developing this event. Peter has also provided the amazing tents, the chairs, and many of the helmets that we are using today. He's also here ensuring that the day goes smoothly. Peter hosts events at MRP on a regular basis - in fact at one of his events we held Theodore's birthday party. Theo is Emmett's little brother, and like Emmett, he loves race cars!

Emmett has toured Sidewinder Conversions in Chilliwack and his parents have their current vehicle serviced at Sidewinder. We're pleased to have them on board as one of our event sponsors and they'll have a wheelchair accessible vehicle on site for you to check out. Located in Chilliwack, this Canadian owned and operated company is western Canada's largest manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles.
Need driver or safety equipment for your race car or kart - check out RaceGear.ca. Need tires or service on your family vehicle or performance vehicle - check out Country Tire - Abbotsford. Ryan and Rory will both be here as drivers taking passengers around the track. Ryan in his Supra and Rory in his Corvette.

Meet Frank and Emmett - Frank is the event organizer and Emmett is the key team member and inspiration for this charity event. Frank will also be one of your drivers and is a founding member of Double Cheeseburger Racing. Emmett is the creator of the "Orange Hippos" fundraising program.
Kyle is not only a driver as he is also one of our key event sponsors - Cottonwood RV Sales & Service. Plus he's Emmett's neighbour! Kyle is one of the founding members of Double Cheeseburger Racing. If you come early on Saturday your #emmettscharitytrackday access will allow you to watch the SCCBC/CACC races - Kyle will be racing the Double Cheeseburger Racing #177 Acura RSX.

Bron will be driving with his Acura Integra (or maybe his turbocharged Miata). Bron is a founding member of Double Cheeseburger Racing and has known Frank and Emmett for years.

Kristina will be driving her green CRX and she's looking forward to supporting Emmett during this fundraiser. Kristina (and Sheridan) were among the first Time Attack racers that Frank met when he moved to BC!

Sheridan (and Kristina) were some of the first time attack racers that Frank met when he moved to BC during Emmett's first year. The friendship and competition continues with many great fireside conversations. A memorable moment was when Sheridan showed up with a piece of railway track for Emmett (during a train project!).

Greg will be driving for Emmett with his beautiful Corvette. Greg is not only a licensed race driver but he is the CACC Race Director. I'm not sure if Greg will be racing with SCCBC/CACC earlier on Saturday, but you're trackside watch for his blue Corvette!

Ed and I have been sharing the track together for years. Ed is a fantastic human being and has an absolutely beautiful Miata! You will have the time of your life in his very capable hands.

Basil and I talk about Australia a lot - and you'll know why when you hear his accent and then hear 3 of my grandkid's chatting! Basil and I have shared the track for years - he's an incredible competitor and driver.

Norm will be bringing his BMW out to allow you to have an amazing track experience. Norm has a wealth of experience in a variety of auto racing disciplines and has been a guest driver with Double Cheeseburger Racing.

Over the past five years I've gotten to know Shawn quite well and I really appreciate his driving skill and the knowlege that he has and shares. Shawn is the CACC Novice Driver Director - he's supervised several of the driver's here as they've obtained their CACC Race licenses. If you want to see Shawn racing the 091 red Mazda Miata, you'll have to come early on Saturday and watch him battle it out with other Spec Miata's!

Kira submitted the photo first but her dad (above) attempted to copy the pose! Kira is a fierce competitor and, unless I'm mistaken, had the pole position in the Spec Miata August races. Kira is looking forward to driving at #emmettscharitytrackday ! If you want to see Kira racing the 091 red Mazda Miata, you'll have to come back on Sunday to watch her in the Vintage class races.

Lora and I started racing against each other about 4 years ago. Lora will be bringing her Supra out for this ride-along event and you're going to enjoy every minute you have on track. Her enthusiasm for life on track is contagious! Come early on Saturday and watch Lora racing her turbocharged #777 Honda Civic in the SCCBC/CACC races that will be happening all weekend.

Dylan has been developing and fine-tuning his Mustang for as long as I've known him. The sound and performance of this car is incredible. Dylan is also an incredible person - years ago he 3D printed 'ankle & foot orthotics' for Cliff (that's Emmett's doll who has now become Theo's doll). Dylan was one of the first to respond that he'd be participating with our charity event.

I met Ryan at Mission Raceway Park and have loved following his track developement. Both he and his Supra have become very well known at tracks in the Pacific Northwest. Ryan and RaceGear.ca are event sponsors!

Suzi is a senior licensed Race Driver with CACC. She races both an Acura Integra and a Honda Civic. What impresses me the most about Suzi is that she is absolutely one of the best ambassadors for the sport that you'll find. She's looking forward to taking you out onto the Mission Raceway Park's road course! Come early on Saturday and watch her racing her #27 Acura Integra!

I'm actuallly not sure which car Brad will be driving, but I'm looking forward to having Brad join us on track. He is not only Suzi's dad but he's also a CACC Race licensed driver. If you come early on Saturday you'll be able to watch him racing his #38 red Nissan!

Amanda is runs AutoX, Time Trials, SCCBC/CACC wheel to wheel races, and Hill Climbs. This year at Knox Mountain she was leading her class until her significant other who we will not name here edged her out by 0.358 seconds! It really was her podium!
